I had planned to put the whole picture on the top, but when I made the cake, it turned out unusually tall....so that is how I ended up putting Hello Kitty on the side with the balloons on the top. The balloons could have been a little neater, but I think it came out cute :)
I think the logo on this cake came out really well....I probably should have done the cake board in white, though, because I think it's a little too much pink... (I know, I can't believe I said it either!!! lol)
The person that ordered this cake didn't really give me a lot of specifics about what they wanted, so I did what I thought was a really fun cake (in my favorite color, of course ;). I love how the icing looked covering the cake board...so much prettier than just plain tin foil! :)
My friend's fiencee was in a bad motorcycle accident and has been in the hospital for over a month. He finally got to come home today, so of course there had to be a cake waiting for him! He loves penguins and motorcycles, and since under the circumstances, we didn't think a motorcycle cake would be such a great idea, we decided to go with a penguin...
This cake was for the same girl as last week's beach cake.... I made the seashells out of white chocolate and colored them orange and fuschia to match her wedding colors. I LOVE how this came out! :)
This cake was for the son of one of my co-workers. I almost feel like it is missing something on top of the black (bottom) cake, but I didn't want to add more and then regret it. I'm making another SpiderMan cake next week for my little boy's birthday party, so I will have to think on it more before then!
I made this cake for a bridal shower we are having for a girl at work. She and her fiancee are planning a destination wedding in Jamica. I am also making the cake for her shower with her family, so she and I decided that I would make this cake a 'fun' beach theme and the other cake an 'elegant' beach theme.
I am 32 years old and live in Dandridge, Tennessee with my husband and three children. I work at a bank and I love my job! I started making cakes a few years ago and have a lot of fun doing it...I enjoy a challenge and am always ready to learn something new :) Unfortunately, I don't get to make them as often as I used to, but I have fun doing the ones I can!
