Once Upon a Time...

I love this cake! It was the first one I really had to carve without any kind of pattern and I think it came out really cute. I can't take credit for the idea to make it into a storybook, though....that belongs to my friend, Liz. I will have to consult her more often!

Barbie Girl

This was actually the second attempt at this cake...the first one was just plain awful! It actually came out looking a lot like my first prom dress...but I'm not sure if that is necessarily a good thing...lol.

Good-Bye and Good Luck

I made this cake for one of our managers who was leaving for another store. I was trying to think of an idea and I kept thinking about the greeting cards that are meant to be given by a group of people...the ones that usually have a bunch of little animals or figures each saying something...anyway, I thought that would be a good idea to use on a cake, too! The border is kind of crooked and that really bothers me, but otherwise, I am very happy with how it came out! :)

Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail...

These cupcakes were my 'Easter present' to my co-workers. I saw them on the internet and thought they were super cute....so I made up a bunch and took them to work!

Penguin Party

I made these cupcakes for my friend's daughter's 13th birthday...she is crazy about penguins! I loved how they came out, but seriously under-estimated the amount of time and work that they would take!

High School Musical

This cake taught me that it is much harder to make a cake about a movie you've never seen!

Escape From the Zoo

This was my first two-tiered cake and probably my favorite cake ever! I love it! :)

Start Your Engines...

This was an order for a man who loves corvettes... I thought the logo came out really well, but it almost felt like it was missing something underneath the logo....

It's Elmo!

I really loved this cake...it came out so bright and colorful!

Here Comes the Bride

Belk had a bridal event in February and I made these cupcakes to put out on a table. They had sugar crystals around the edges and the decorations on top were made with white chocolate that I piped into different shapes. You could do so many different variations of this idea...the possibilities are endless!

Hello Kitty Ladybug

Another Hello Kitty cake.... :)

Look at the Birdie!

This was a cardinal cake that someone ordered for their grandmother. I was really happy with how it came out :)

Many Thanks....

The Clinique counter manager ordered this cake as a thank you to the rest of the store for helping them reach their gift-with-purchase goal.

Fly, Weiner Dog, Fly!

This was a birthday cake for my friend Paige, who is the proud mommy to two dachshunds. So what better birthday cake than one with flying weiner dogs? ;)

Wrestling Belt

This cake was another joint effort...Jessica did alot of the decoration while I did the actual cake. The piece on the top and the silver piece around the bottom were made with fondant and dusted with edible glitter.

It's A Girl!

This was my first baby shower cake. Overall I am happy with how it came out....the only thing I would change would be to move the baby buggy a little to the right....but then, I do tend to obsess over things...lol.

Flower Power

I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. In hindsight, I wish I would have made the flowers a little bolder and brighter, but I still think it came out cute... Emma was happy and that was really all that mattered! :)

O' Christmas Tree...

This cake was part of a pair of cakes made for a friend and her family (unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of the other cake...). The background looks almost pink in this picture, but it was actually a white buttercream dusted with edible red glitter!

Chocolate Congratulations

This was a "congratulations on your promotion" cake :)

Gobble-Gobble!

I made this cake to take to work on the day after Thanksgiving...that's a crazy day for retail employees, so I figured a little cake might brighten the day :)

Mini Cakes

I made these cakes with the help of my best friend, Jessica. It literally took us all night to do this....we finally finished up around 6am!

Hello Kitty Ballerina

I made this cake for my daughter's 7th birthday :)
