Gobble Till You Wobble

I made these to take to work the day after Thanksgiving...I loved them! Some of the icing didn't come out as dark as I wanted, but they were still cute :)

One Thing or the Other

I really thought these came out cute...one of the girls at work was celebrating her little boy's first birthday with a Dr. Seuss party. It was her idea to do the 'Thing 1' smash cake and I love how it came out!

Silly Spiders

I wish this was my idea, but the truth is I stole it from the internet...lol.

Haunted Halloween

I made this for a friend to take to a Halloween party at her school. She told me I could do whatever I wanted, so I got the idea for this from a cake I saw online, and I think it came out really cute! :)

Baby Elmo Has A Birthday

I am really happy with how this came out...I really tried to make Elmo look furry, and I think he does! :) I do wish I could shift the whole design to the left so there was more room for the writing....or maybe I just need to learn to write smaller...lol.

Turning 21....Again

This is the second cake I made for my best friend's 21st birthday party. I did this pretty late at night and realized at the last minute that I didn't have a cake box or cardboard, so I had to resort to covering a cookie sheet in tin foil. It didn't look fabulous, but it got the job done. Overall, I am really happy with how it came out!

Dianne's Leaving and That Sucks

I made this cake for a goodbye party at work for one of our managers. I actually found this bunny picture a while back and thought it was perfect for this occasion. I did change the caption, though...it originally said "You suck...and that's sad"...I didn't think that was really appropriate, though...lol.

Happy 21st!!

This cake was for my best friend's 21st birthday...it's actually the first of two cakes I am making to celebrate her birthday!

Pocketful of Sunshine

This was Paige's last day at work...I thought about something having to do with makeup (since she worked for Clinique), but ended up doing sunflowers because they are just so bright and sunny, and that's what I think of Paige! :)

Fairy Princess Kitty

It seems like just yesterday that I made Whitney's first hello kitty birthday cake! Besides the fact that the border is a little crooked on top, I think it came out really cute...the color scheme is lighter than I normally end up doing, so that was a nice change :)

Seriously Spotty

This was a black and red version of the pink polka dot cake I made a couple of months ago. At first I was skeptical about making the polka dots just two colors...I thought it would look better if I did varying shades of red and black. After I got started, though, I realized that I was wrong...lol. So see... I CAN admit that my way isn't always the best way!!! lol

Here Comes the Bride

This is my very first wedding cake! One of the ladies I work with was helping plan a small wedding for a couple at her church and she asked me to make the cake! Overall, I am really proud of how it came out :)

Big Orange Birthday

Happy Birthday!

Gavin's Big First Birthday

This little boy was having his first birthday and loves 'Jack's Big Music Show', so his mom asked me to make a cake with one of the characters - 'Mel the Dog'. Overall, I think it came out pretty cute! :)

Balloons for the Birthday Girl

The person that ordered this cake had really only specified that they wanted something with balloons, so I thought this design would be really cute. I added the polka dots on the side so that I could match the big cake to the "smash cake" for the birthday girl!

Strawberry Swirls

My friends little girl wanted a cake with 'cream' and strawberrys on top for her birthday, so this is what I came up with! The only downside was that the strawberries dripped a lot of juice that settled on the icing, but overall I thought it was really pretty!

It's a Boy!

I made this for a baby shower at work...I thought the animals were cute, but I think maybe it needed some grass. And the lion looks like he is on a diet of radioactive carrots...lol.

Father's Day in the Windy City

This was a Father's Day cake for a man that loves all things 'Chicago'. We decided to do a word play off the Chicago Cubs/Chicago Bears...I really loved the idea...wish it was mine! lol

All Hail the Birthday Princess

One of the girls I work with has a little girl that is celebrating her 2nd birthday...she calls herself "Princess Izabeth" :) This is one of the first cakes I have done without the help of a pattern or outline...when I got done carving it, I wasn't sure if there was enough cake left to serve all the guests, so I made some cupcakes just to be on the safe side!

Jeff Kills Slowly

My boss is slightly obsessed with all things 'Ed Hardy'. Sadly, he is leaving us for another store, so I did my best to put Ed Hardy on cake! I think he must have liked it, because when I left the party, he still hadn't cut it...He did suggest that it should have said "Jeff Kills Slowly"....lol

Hello, Birthday Kitty!

I thought this cake came out cute...I felt like maybe it was missing a little something, but I couldn't figure out what to add without making it look crowded.

Lots of Spots

The only directions I had for this cake were that they wanted a white cake with chocolate icing...since I really loved how the last polka dot cake came out, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to revisit the idea in a different color scheme!

Day Two at the Zoo

I did this for a friend's sister...it's a smaller version of the two tier zebra cake I made a couple months ago...

Island Getaway

I made this for one of my best friend's 21st birthday. We had a party for her with a hawaiian luau theme, so I tried my best to make a cake to match! I made the flowers out of chocolate and the sand is made of brown sugar...
