I made these to take to work the day after Thanksgiving...I loved them! Some of the icing didn't come out as dark as I wanted, but they were still cute :)
I wish this was my idea, but the truth is I stole it from the internet...lol.
I made this for a friend to take to a Halloween party at her school. She told me I could do whatever I wanted, so I got the idea for this from a cake I saw online, and I think it came out really cute! :)
I am really happy with how this came out...I really tried to make Elmo look furry, and I think he does! :) I do wish I could shift the whole design to the left so there was more room for the writing....or maybe I just need to learn to write smaller...lol.
This is the second cake I made for my best friend's 21st birthday party. I did this pretty late at night and realized at the last minute that I didn't have a cake box or cardboard, so I had to resort to covering a cookie sheet in tin foil. It didn't look fabulous, but it got the job done. Overall, I am really happy with how it came out!

It seems like just yesterday that I made Whitney's first hello kitty birthday cake! Besides the fact that the border is a little crooked on top, I think it came out really cute...the color scheme is lighter than I normally end up doing, so that was a nice change :)
This was a black and red version of the pink polka dot cake I made a couple of months ago. At first I was skeptical about making the polka dots just two colors...I thought it would look better if I did varying shades of red and black. After I got started, though, I realized that I was wrong...lol. So see... I CAN admit that my way isn't always the best way!!! lol

This little boy was having his first birthday and loves 'Jack's Big Music Show', so his mom asked me to make a cake with one of the characters - 'Mel the Dog'. Overall, I think it came out pretty cute! :)

One of the girls I work with has a little girl that is celebrating her 2nd birthday...she calls herself "Princess Izabeth" :) This is one of the first cakes I have done without the help of a pattern or outline...when I got done carving it, I wasn't sure if there was enough cake left to serve all the guests, so I made some cupcakes just to be on the safe side!
I thought this cake came out cute...I felt like maybe it was missing a little something, but I couldn't figure out what to add without making it look crowded.

The only directions I had for this cake were that they wanted a white cake with chocolate icing...since I really loved how the last polka dot cake came out, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to revisit the idea in a different color scheme!
I did this for a friend's sister...it's a smaller version of the two tier zebra cake I made a couple months ago...
